Is that really worth a hundred bucks? It's a little pricey to me.

I thought that the raincatcher bells had a slight angle to them and it was confirmed when I googled it but... I also found this image which looks like a right angle... Or is the angle of the picture playing tricks???

It's configured like a raincatcher bell.... with the thumbscrews on the bell collar instead of on the body. However, the screw flanges don't look like Conn. Dunno... might be original or might be some sort of hybrid.

Yeah, what the hell is that thing supposed to fit?
Since it is only 21" in diameter, it probably fits on an Eb raincatcher sousaphone. Somebody may have just replaced the thumb screws with with non-Conn screws?? Who knows...

Take a look at the color of the metal (or the tarnish) on the elbow and on the bell--it's different. If these were plated as a unit, it would be identical.

It's a mongrel.

'd love to know the diameters of both ends of that right angle...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
