An interesting 5-valve Kaiserbaritone is up for sale on eBay. The bidding started at $0.99. I thought I'd go as high as $2.05. Unfortunately it is now over $500.00 and my wife put her foot down!

Rick, my marriage still means more to me than another horn. Though I did sell my Bach Trumpet, Couesnon Flugelhorn, Buescher Trombone, and Selmer Cornet on eBay this week at the behest of "she who must be obeyed". Maybe....?

This is a great example of how NOT to sell something on ebay.

I did a quick search under baritone, euphonium and tuba; this instrument did not show up because it is listed only as a kaiserbaritone. Since they used the old spelling of "Mirafone" it doesn't show up unless you use the old spelling. All of this is further enhanced by having every picture out of focus; something to remember: the Internet is all about images.

The bid would not be where it is now if it hadn't been for the original post by druby. The seller owes druby a commission on this one.

One thing to consider, because of the spelling of "Mirafone" this is apparently an older import. Caveat emptor would be the rule.

Yeah but druby only bid $2.05!!! Maybe they will give me $2.05 commission?

EDIT: So it sold last night for just over 1000 times what I originally bid for it....Do I get my $2.05 now? :)
