I beg your pardon, but where's the silver? Description says "silver chrome plated", which I guess means that the chrome is silvery colored? And price is $878 with postage.
Too lazy to count them up, but the 98.7% positive feedback would shrink if you converted the positive feedbacks that come with negative or neutral text. Never noticed this before. I suppose lots more people had something bad to say, but didn't say it because they didn't feel that just marking it "positive" would be enough to ward off the negative feedback retaliations.

This is an ORIGINAL "EMPIRE BRASS Musical Instrument Co" brand instrument, manufactured by one of India's LARGEST AND MOST REPUTED manufacturer

Isn't this the same outfit that's been selling under the name "Zweiss Laiton"?
Note the cute little "gentleman's discomfort device" on the bottom bow...

I have one of those things that bears the name of 'Tri-Star'. Horrible horn. Bad intonation and severe manufacturing/fit/assembly problems. Just a note... the student line Bessons are being made in India, too!

What is the purpose of that thing? Does it fit into a stand or some sort of strap?
I've noticed those mainly on British horns. Is it one of those hard to understand English things?

My understanding is that its purpose is to stop the bottom bow getting scratched when the tuba is placed on the ground when standing to attention on parade.
This design looks a take off of an old Besson student model to me.
