Has anyone purchased one of those mouthpieces from a certain auction website that look remarkably similar to other well known mouthpieces? If so, how close to the original are they? How did you like it? If privacy is important, send me a pm.

I did. A gold almost PT thing. It is now being played by a former student in her DMA program. What can I say, its a good copy of a good mouthpiece. I liked that its box stated "Mouth of tuba" on it.

Hole in the ground ...

Bump. Anybody else? Anybody have a I.D. measurement? I just curious of what it's close to considering the seller won't tell.

Can't or won't? Either way, I would not reward this selective ignorance with my money. Surely there are enough of these around you can find a used one?

So far it's won't. A $16 set of calipers and a $30 set of cheap machinist drill bits from Harbor Freight is all it takes to change can't to can.

Haha, I got one of those, too, except in "silver" plating.

Despite that fact that is it pretty gray everywhere, I like the way it plays on the YSH-411 sousaphone I use.
