Anybody know anything about this particular instrument?

I know you said this "Particular" horn, but I do play a 3100 quite regularly and can safely say that it has a gorgeous sound, is outrageously heavy, has a gorgeous sound, requires great finesse to control, and has a gorgeous sound.
