Couesnon Tuba that "Plays Great"

PLAYS WELL. SLIDES ALL PULL. NOT BEAUTIFUL, BUT PLAYS GREAT. OUT OF ROUND RECEIVER....
COMMENTS: MISSING VALVES AND TOP CAPS. LEADPIPE DENTED. BELL WRINKLED, BRACES NEED ATTENTION.

WHAT??!!!! leadpipe is flattened, dents everywhere no valves but amazingly it plays great!

Perhaps they were referring to the horn's ability at poker?
I showed the picture to one of my horns. She said: "I was sad because I had no oil. Then I met a horn with no valves." It was a very touching moment.

Aw, c'mon! It's a Couesnon for goodness sake! If it doesn't play better with a crushed mouthpipe and no valves, at least it CAN'T be any worse... !

You know, it's not the equipment that makes the difference, it's the player....
I'd tear it up on a tuba with missing valves any day.
