You raise a good point Bloke-

I live in a very populated part of Delaware, and out my front door I have no less than 20 pharmacies, 8 grocery stores, two "mega-marts", and tons of other retail opportunities within a 5 minute drive. Also, I would say that I'm not a city/urban guy either, it's just that there's a ton of shopping where I live.

If you live in a rural area, I could easily see Ebay becoming more and more a part of how people acquire goods. When used with the appropriate caution (look for feeback strength and track record), it's powers can be used for good...

I live in a larger city and even with the greater selection, small aftermarket electronic items (chargers, cases, flash memory, etc.) can usually be found cheaper on line than driving around to get the stuff. There are also deal of the day sites like Woot.com for you impulse shoppers. Sites like Buy.com and eCost.com are great for picking up gadgets and gizmos that you don't want to wait for the deal of the day sites to finally offer.

DITTO! I live just five minutes for a large metropolitan shopping area but I get sick and tired of going to multiple places before I find what I want. I refuse to stand in lines and get REALLY tired of sale people who don't know their asses from a hole in the ground. I can usually find EXACTLY what I want with just a few mouse clicks. I've also quit spending time in the referrence section of the public library. it's all on-line!

For people like Bloke who do their homework, there are bargains to be found on eBay.

For your average, lazy purchaser, I've seen lots of things there go for much more than you can get them in a store, or even on Amazon.
