Pursed Lip Breathing Exercises
Too many years ago I was a respiratory therapist. This device appears to be a mechanical version of a set of breathing exercises we taught chronic lungers call pursed lip breathing. As stated in the auction listing, take in a deep breath of air. Instead of buying their device, purse your lips into a pucker (use a soda straw if you need help getting the shape) and then exhale through the hole you have formed. The smaller the hole the more the resistance.
If you want to spend the money, buy a copy of the Sheridan/Pilafian Breathing Gymn exercises.
