I bought my last car for less than that, and it gets great mileage!

that valve setup has long fascinated. A guy in Ohio somewhere has/had a similar Fiske, and it seems like a good idea for valves. Sort of similar to an open wrap trombone valve. I wonder if more modern techniques could make this an efficient valve style...
