Are G&P intruments the same as Kalison?

While looking on ebay, I saw this
http://cgi.ebay.com/G-P-Model-GP11-Silv ... 240%3A1318" target="_blank
Look at the 5th valve, isn't Kalison is the only manufacturer to have this setup..? I've played a couple Daryl Smith CC's (intonation was awful) and the valve set unscrews to allow easy cleaning. However, the screws usually buzzed (drove me crazy) unless I checked each time to make sure they weren't loose.
Anybody play one like this? How do they play? I'm curious...

The G&P horns are designed by the same guys that made the Kalison line. This appears to be an updated version of the DS.

For $1500, I'd be tempted to get it. I mean, hell. A 5 valve CC in silver for $1500 is crazy cheap ,chinese made tubas aren't even that cheap.

I would imagine that G&P either play the same as Kalison or better. People always work way harder for themselves than for someone else.

I was the very lucky person to purchase this tuba, at a super price. She is wonderful! BIG, Huge, warm, full sound. Easy to fill with air, lots of power, yet she can wisper like a kitten. Right on the money tone high or way down low.
She is stamped "Hand Made in Milano Italy". A wonderful work of craftsmenship. They either took exta care with this one, or they love their jobs. It looks, feels, and drives like a Hand crafted Mercedies of the 1950's.
The G & P horns are made by the former Kalison employies, but they really have taken ownership of producing the best quality horns they can.
It is heavy, thick walled, like my 1909 Martin, not at all like the made in China horns.
The seller packaged her with great care and she arrived in three days. I bet this horn was never really played, a demo perhaps, it is just like brand new inside and out.
I am very pleased with the horn, thank you all for not bidding on her, I probibly got the deal of the centry. I will be using her in Church every Sunday as soon as I learn the CC fingerings.

OK...who knows the song that accompanies the picture???
It's a picture of Owl Jolson from the Merrie Melodies cartoon "I Love to Singa." South Park watchers got a chance to hear the song during the episode where Cartman gets probed by aliens. Since turnabout is fair play, which Little Rascal provided the voice for Owl Jolson?

One last hijack - if anyone ever offers to sell you a "Mercedies" don't do it.
