Interesting looking horn. Which model is it? No reserve, might go at a decent price.

I have seen this horn before, I believe on the "old style" tubenet. I think Joe's assumptions are correct. IIRC, the valveset is not MW, not B&S or Nirscl either. I think is is something like Yamaha?

Could it be a Frankenhorn? Assembled from chosen bits or from whatever the horn jockey had on hand?

It almost looks like a set off of a YCB-822. I owned on of those once, and I remember some similar valve routing.
Maybe off a YFB-822?
While the valve wraps have been altered a bit, the ports and knuckles seem to be the same.

The 5th valve knuckles are completely wrong. And the bottom valve caps are definitely not Yamaha. They are identical to B. Meinls I've seen, and the Top caps and buttons match the ones on B&S Ebs with valves also by B. Meinl. I vote early piston MW.

I contacted seller:
Seller wrote:All I can tell you about the tuba is that I bought it as is from the Baltimore Brass Co. about 5 years ago as is. I know nothing about the history of the horn. I have only played it a hand full of times since I bought it. I am a band director who is focusing on arranging. When I play, it's at school with school instruments. I use it mostly for the occasional gig and Tuba Christmas. I can tell you that E in the staff is a little flat and I have to lip it up for it to play in tune. The lower register is fine, but the extreme upper register seems to be a bit tricky, but definitely manageable. It is a 4/4 CC tuba.
I contacted BBC:
David Fedderly wrote:Sorry I do not recognize this tuba at all. I would think that because the tubes are routed so oddly that I would remember it if it actually had come through the BBC.

I've seen this tuba for a bit. It's definitely got an older MW/B&S valve set on it. The tubes for the slides are configured like a PT. 5th valve is a Rotax. It's a very interesting instrument. Plays pretty well. I was surprised when I got to play on it for a bit by just how good it was.
