Wow, what a deal. It was interesting looking at the intense bidding war that happened near the end. 43 bids!

That was a PT-10. According to the advertisement, it was purchased in 1985 from Custom Music.
I'm quite sure the PT-15 didn't exist in 1985.
So, I'm thinking it was a pretty fair price for a 24 year old tuba.

The difference is a PT-15 has a larger bell throat which gives it a fuller low register. I find the low register on my PT-15 incredible - the best of any F tuba I have ever played
