It's got a solid provenance (that counts for something) and it is an unusual tuba. Plus it's in good condition. I'd buy it if I could.

I emailed the seller. I would really like to see what the 'extra' slides look like. This CC to BBb conversion slide thing has been attempted a few times but in most cases the results have been marginal. Adding two feet of cylindrical tubing to a CC horn does not seem to be an ideal condition. Sort of like strapping down the 4th valve on an Eb tuba and playing it as a BBb with the other three valves.

I also corresponded with the seller just for curiosity's sake. This particular King has a large bore of .750 making it similar to my 1932 vintage King 1241. So this horn could have quite a nice voice and blowing characteristics. I would imagine that it would be more resonant and more open blowinng than the typical .689 bore horns.
The sousaphone valve block angle could be a bit awkward for some folks. YMMV.
The extra length in the tuning slide might not be a problem, since my horn required an extention to bring it down from high pitch A=457 to A=440. Doesn't have any ill affects on this particular horn.
