I received an email a bit ago from a fellow wanting to trade me one of these horns for my 4V Conn 'jumbo'.

They must be about equally rare! I wonder how this compares in size to the Rudolf Meinl 6/4?

Sounds a very reasonable price considering its apparently good condition.

BTW Anyone know what Zugbögen means - my translator does not recognise word?

No, a completely different model. I think this is a 200 - an old model (look at the cutter on the bottom bow), while the 196 Fasolt has only just come out

Hello everybody,
Zugbögen is German for all the movable slides on the tuba.
The tuba for sale is an older version of mine, called Melton 200.
It's not anymore in production, today replaced by Fafner and Fasolt.
It's slightly smaller than Rudolf Meinl 6/4, being the biggest tuba on the market.
I will publish a picture of mine as soon as I can. At the moment I have trouble with my home site.
Lars

This picture also shows the older version of the Melton 200.
The latest one is very similar to the Melton 25, only slightly bigger.
