DEG Dynasty 2 valve G-Contra £85. Can't think how or why this thing found it's way over this side of the pond as I can't think of a use for it!? What bore are the valves on this btw?

Also, is this King/White Sousa a Bb? 24" bell, missing the neck and valve condition unknown. £300 at the mo...
Have contacted the seller as I could use a Bb for work.

Cheers,

I wonder what you could make out of a contra body. I can't imagine a lot of situations that would call for a TWO valved tuba might be worth the money for a project over across the pond?

Yeah, nickel is nasty flaky stuff.
I still can't think of a use for the body of the Contra however the valves might be useful depending on the bore?

What about that sousa - Bb?

I've never even seen one of these G bugles. Could the bell section be cut off to be an upright bell for something like a 2340/1? Or substitute it for the whole bell and stack?
