Looks to just need some screws to hold the valve linkage and paddles on, too bad it's local pickup only: http://cgi.ebay.com/Otto-Weimar-4-Valve ... 20afc2f088 Nice overall condition, and linkage appears to be upgraded to ball and socket type.

EDIT: changed title to reflect info added by the TNFnJ, most likely a Chinese clone of a B&S/VMI.

Ah so. Appears I am easily fooled by "real" sounding names. I know Weimar was a stencil of B&S conglomerate at one time, but perhaps not "Otto Weimar".

What is it about the receiver that tells us it is not B&S/VMI? I don't know enough about these things to see what the issue is.

I looked that listing over and I think you are probably correct. But... it's not a recent Chinese clone. It's more along the lines of the 'Imperial' line that the guys in Michigan sold a few years back. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad horn... just not the German or Czech quality we've learned to expect.

P.S. A friend of mine recently bought a used M&M (JinBao) tuba of this same style, and my initial impression of it was that it was a nice player. I didn't have time to play, compare, and test it extensively against my B&S/Sonora though. Build quality seemed decent, as good as some recent American horns I've purchased.

Understood, I was just adding additional, somewhat off-topic info...
