Does anyone know what model this is?

This one looks fishy to me. I have a friend that had his silver Harvey Phillips model Holton CC tuba stolen out of his car in Riverside, CA at the end of May. I just sent him this eBay listing so he can check it out, but I think it is most likely his. So be warned about bidding!!!!!

Heard back from my friend this morning... this Holton is in deed his tuba that was stolen from his car last May. The police are on their way to the pawn shop to recover his horn! Thank you to rodgeman for posting this thread, I have been really busy the last few days and have not logged onto eBay to check the listings otherwise I would have not seen it for several more days.

Would the pawnshop have a record of the thief's name and address? How does it work when one pawns an instrument?

The person would have to provide a driver's license or ID card. Now if the address is correct??

Damn. The second I'm interested in a horn...
At least some justice was served and the real owner got his horn back!

Happy ending... I've actually liked the HP Holtons... but it's moot since they're now gone.
My student has access to a BBb... it's 2341 comparable, IMHO.

I'm certain it's a Del Negro Holton, circa 1910. If the engraving says Chicago on the bell, there's no doubt.
