If it's what I think it is, it's some other Chinese company's copy of the Jinbao copy of the Hirsbrunner 192.
I own the Jinbao. And it suits me very well. But I'm ready to admit that this is getting surreal.

I don't think that is the case for tubas. These clones are cheap because they are manufactured in China with low labor costs. The "big boys" were manufactured in Europe with much high labor costs (plus the research and development of the models) which results in their higher prices.
If you want the 'best', or the 'cheapest' is your choice!

I don't think the seller refers to the European manufacturers as the 'big boys'. Jin Bao, for example, offers several grades of horns at different prices. I've also heard accusations that some importers are selling 'seconds'.
It's no secret that some of the Yamaha clones (Eastman, for example) are coming out of the same Chinese factories that Yamaha once used to produce their REAL YBB-201/321 tubas.
It appears to me that there are only a handful of factories in China producing most of what we see coming in to the US.
