I put this in the "For Sale" forum, but looks like it would be more appropriate here.

I'm not the seller of this horn, just the messenger. There is a BEAUTIFUL YBB-103 on ebay right now! It is in almost perfect condition. I started drooling over this the moment I saw it, but my wife and I just don't have the money unfortunately. I hope it goes to a good home!

Just wanted to make you aware!

Looks nice, and the number of bids is a sign of at least some interest.

The good photos show the 3rd slide being quite accessible on the rear side. Can this instrument be played in tune, trumpet style?

Honestly, I do not get the adult fascination with these tubas. I have played several myself. They are GREAT beginner instruments, but with the tiny .610" bore and valveset after the tuning slide, they are really, really small instruments. They are often confused with euphoniums by other musicians. Outside of having *something* to practice on that you could keep in your sock drawer, or maybe a very small ensemble horn, I just don't get the grown-up demand for these. The pro line of 621 horns have a much shorter leadpipe and a larger bore and can put out a lot more sound, but even they work best in the more appropriate F tuba length.
