It's not luck. This guy makes it his business to call schools all over the country searching for surplus music instruments. I suspect that he works rather hard at finding and shipping all those instruments.TheHatTuba wrote: WHERE DOES THIS GUY FIND THESE THINGS SO CONSISTENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neat! The impressive thing (to me) is that they are all 4-valve tubas!

Re: The luck of some people.....
Would the bells from the top and front action tubas be interchangeable? Maybe I should buy one of each!!!

I think he's asking if the removable bell from the 25J will fit on one of the King bodies

Re: The luck of some people.....
That's what I thought you might be asking but the sizes of the tenons of the 2Xj bell and the King bell are dramatically different. The 2XJ is about 7 5/16" diameter and the King is about 6 5/16" diameter.bobn wrote:Thank you, that is exactly what I meant.k001k47 wrote:I think he's asking if the removable bell from the 25J will fit on one of the King bodiesbobn wrote:Would the bells from the top and front action tubas be interchangeable?....

Hi!
Kanstul sells new bells for Conn 20XX Tubas. They're beautiful, but expensive! I have heard there are a couple of reliable sources for new King bells, especially if the person ordering them likes you! I would call my repairman and ask...

Re: The luck of some people.....
I don't envy this person's upcoming task of packing and shipping that many tubas and bells! I did one today, that's plenty for me for...oh... a few years!
