Oh, but those leather uppers are "eco-certified" (though I'm not sure in what sense they're "certifiable") -- that should be enough to make even the folks at PITA happy.

They also offer canvas uppers if you prefer the ultimate old fashioned tennis shoe.

Looks like they raided the local truck stop for the soles. They look like Firestone Transport 1's.

I find that my tone is more focused when I wear these shoes ...they also open up the low register in my 186 - others have also commented that I sound " fuller " ...personally , I think my upper register gets a bit " pinched off" ...but none of my conductors or those sitting around me have offered any negative comments. I think they are glad that I have any shoes on at all....
