I hid an Eb sousaphone from my wife for about a year, but I had a band room to hide it in  Good luck with your wife.

I have the luxury of two bandrooms I can hide it in but want it at home to learn the fingerings as I currently only play Eb and have been tooting my sons Euphonium to see if I have the mental room to learn new fingerings.
