Here's a rare Hirsbrunner. 100% original.

Anyone wishing to challenge this tuba should really try it to feel the power from it. Although not a jumbo, it's certainly not a small tuba. The bell has less of a pancake at (only) 16.5 inches but stands 3 to 4 inches taller than most Kaiser tubas.

Someone will soon be happy with it.

A Kaiser tuba is a large tuba with large bore rotor valves. That isn't a large tuba. It's tall. 18mm isn't large, it's Miraphone 184 sized. I'd call that pretty small. The body of the tuba looks 186-ish in girth. IMHO, describing that thing as a Kaiser tuba isn't remotely accurate.

Is a 6/4 Conn with a .689" bore not a true 6/4 Tuba? Gotta agree about the Bell diameter, though! The horn sure is tall, too! It appears at least as tall as other Tubas described as "Kaisers"...

Thanks for all the interest in the horn.

This is not a standard instrument that one normally finds in the US, so it's difficult to compare it to anything really. It is what it is, a tall Swiss-German Hirsbrunner tuba in BBb. The reserve price is significantly lower than the buy it now.

Good Luck!

Is there such a thing as a factory 6/4 Conn with a .689" bore? I'd actually like to know.
