Hey Guys,
Just FYI, my buddy John is selling his Balu mute:

Anyone who has to ask what this mute sounds like or why it would be needed obviously doesn't need one, so I'm not a potential buyer, but I am curious.

So, what does this mute sound like and why would it be needed?

Yup. Thanks for the answer.

(I've never even seen a tuba part that calls for a mute.)

Out of curiousity, what mute would you recommend for a 6/4 tuba, like your MW 2165 or my Holton 345? I try to keep an eye for them when I see them are sale, I'd to pick one up someday , but I'm not in a rush.
