It seems kind of high to me. But that's just my opinion. It is nice though. From what I've learned from looking for one, they're not easy to come by.

IMHO only if the rest of the horn looked as good as the bell. Otherwise I'd say he's overpriced it a bit (IMO).

IMHO $4000 is the top of the market for this horn if it were in pristine condition. I think he would be lucky to get $2000 for it on ebay in it's current condition. Still... raincatcher sousaphones are relatively rare, especially in playable condition. Someone would probably be willing to pay this for it, but ebay prices tend to be more like wholesale than retail.
