I immediately thought B&M when I clicked on the pics. The slide crooks and valves look very B&M/Marzan to me, but it could be anyone's guess...

Could very well be true.
I have a large York Master BBb 4FP made by B&M. But the proportions of the upper and lower crooks are different.
Another factor not making me think B&M, when I first saw this auction, was the general trait of the York Master BBb’s that I have seen documented: the large ones have 4 valves and the small bore ones all have 3 valves only. And this present sousaphone in my eyes has a small bore.
