I don't know the engravings very well, but there's definitely something flowery there on the bell. I can't see the words though, if there are any. It's possibly that it could have been heavily repaired/buffed as well...

I think it's probably an import... the engraving looks like Wurlitzers stuff from what little I can see. There's a "Cleveland" made "Peerless" here in town which looks very much like this.
