Martin Wilk makes some excellent reproduction bits for these. They are not cheap, but he can make them in American or Euro shank as well as tapered and untapered.
The vintage is the best era for these as well. As for adding a fourth valve, these play really well in tune and the compromised low notes are great. Just be sure you have the proper size valve stems, they are usually too short on these tubas making them stuffy. But when they are aligned right, man, what a sound!
Hope someone puts it to good use. Definitely a steal.
