Are these good, or just rare? I've never really understood the attraction (or if I ever did, I don't remember it now).

I bought one of these MP's and have been using it for various gigs on several different horns for the last few weeks. Even though the MP performed OK with my 1291, the Marzans, and a sousa or two.... the sharp inner rim caused some distress to my chops. I've gone back to the Mike Finn 3 I've used for the past year or so.

The 'Dr. Young' now resides on the shelf with other 'flash in the pan' stuff I've accumulated over the years.
