Re: Very rare Mississippi style CC tuba

Thanks for pointing this out LJV. It is one of those rare CCb tubas when played without the bell.
Actually, the 4th valve is there. It's just hidden behind the third valve tubing in this picture. A picture at another angle would show it. (You can recognize it with the tubing coming out of it and going up to the top bow). Granted, the picture quality is terrible.Uncle Buck wrote:The advertised 4th valve must be in the bell, too.
I stand corrected. You are absolutely right.PMeuph wrote:Actually, the 4th valve is there. It's just hidden behind the third valve tubing in this picture. A picture at another angle would show it. Can't say for sure from the picture if the 4th piston was there. But.... the 4th valve circuit and casing is visible!Uncle Buck wrote:The advertised 4th valve must be in the bell, too.

Absolutely hysterical !LJV wrote:Stop whining, Mr. One Post. As a Floridian who has happened to hear many Mississippi bands with incredible tuba sections, "Mississippi style" can be considered a compliment. Let's keep our state prejudices to ourselves. Not funny and not what a divided nation needs right now.
