I have been asking myself this question for weeks. A clone in raw brass?

So this a custom horn made of components from Besson, Yamaha, & Miraphone?

The ad came across to me as something out of The Orient. Sorry.

The text says a buyer can have it silver plated for an extra 1000 pounds sterling. Whee!

No, it's basically a besson 995, it just can't be stenciled as such.

Looks like a lot of dent work done on the bottom bow. Still a good deal for the right person.

Sure looks like a Besson, but who knows. FWIW, the two Besson 995s I tried were both stinkers with very poor intonation. It sure didn't help them that I play tested next to a Nirschl handmade tuba, which looked the same, but played a bazillion times better (and cost a bazillion times more).

I don't think that is dent work on the bottom bow, I think it is finger prints on the raw brass. I didn't seem them live though.

From what my old teacher told me they are Besson 995's left over from the old factory in Watford. He bought two off the guy and plays them with the CBSO
