No scandal. Probably just got the decimal point in the wrong place. If I was interested in buying it... I would simply contact the seller first.

$10 is still ridiculous when you can put it in a small PRIORITY MAIL box for $5.35 anywhere in the Continental US in 2-3 days.

Ask the seller why they think it's ok to "juice" you $4.65 AND send it slower.

I don't care what the person charges for shipping. Paypal now refunds all costs if there is a problem, and I only look at the total cost. If the total cost is too high, I don't buy.

Yep. Which is exactly why I do list all of my auctions as "buy it now" with free shipping (built into the price). And it's why you should do that, as well, when you list items for sale.
