I kind of want to buy this, but I wonder if it might have those plastic-core valves, and if so, am I throwing my money away?

Any advice/opinions would be helpful, thanks!

Would somebody please confirm its legitimacy? It seems legit; some pics have been posted but it seems to call for a more experienced eye than mine.

For what it's worth, TPaw referred to in the ad is Tim Pawlenty who was the governor of Minnesota a couple of years back. There are several state bands and there could have been an auction to sell some of the instruments. I am not skilled enough to properly evaluate the horn. All I can do is say the story with the ad does make some sense.

I just talked to the owner. He sold it today to someone who tried it locally. I feel stupid, but was afraid of getting a pig in a poke.
