There are several dents and bents
I like the descriptor of "bents" - have not seen that before.

Great old tuba!

I'd love to get my paws on it, but I don't have the spending dough for it...
I like the huge thumb rings and 'looped' second valve and main slides on the old Cervenys. Those second slides were obviously made that way so there would be no need for the pull ring.
The good thing about this tuba is that all slides and valves move, so nothing is frozen/stuck. Still, the price is a bit high for the condition it's in.
At 40.75" tall, 17.75" bell, with a largish throat & bottom bow and
assuming a bore in the .800"s, I'd call this a "baby Kaiser".....a 5/4 in size.
I use the Cerveny 601 as the 'benchmark' 5/4+ Kaisertuba. This one seems just a bit smaller. If I got my hands on it, I'd get those clockspring rotors moving FAST

Agreed - I have too many 4/4 and 5/4 tubas and am looking for a quality slightly smaller horn but this one is sweet IMHO. Especially considering the junk generally available in that price range.

If you look at the valves very carefully, you may see that the 4th valve clockwork spring housing is not parallel to the others and this suggests that the shaft the clockwork springs ride on is not totally straight. I would think it would take quite a blow to cause this damage but it should be easy enough tp replace the entire assembly. Nonetheless, it would take more than a good servicing and cleaning to straighten that out.

Tell me about it! I also have quite a few tubas......but you can never have too many!

It's just that I ran out of spending tuba money last year...
There was a nice vintage B&S-made 'Crown' 4/4 rotary BBb in the same price range a while back. Noone bought it

Nah.....it's not that bad. The 4th valve is just "stuck" in the down/depressed position - you can see it in the rotor paddle as well as the linkage. It's "stuck", but not permanently stuck/frozen. It's just dirty and dry. The seller even says:
"Three valves are moving easy and fast, the 4th valve is moveable, but not so easy. All slides are moving."
A good cleaning and oiling would most likely take care of all that
