That's ... kind of unhealthy looking.



Is it "red rot"? I have no experience with it, but this is so massive, and distributed indifferently over bell collars and guards and stuff like it is, I would guess not?

That surface condition is ugly but won't hurt a thing. Buy this horn 'on the cheap'... strip the remaining lacquer... and enjoy it.

Buy it, strip the lacquer, then put a half-dozen bottles of this on it:

then re-sell on eBay.

(And if I REALLY thought that was a good idea, I'd be doing it myself without posting about it here . . .)
