An add for a Conn Sousa popped up here down under.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/woy-woy/ ... 022716185#

I've messaged the seller who cannot locate a model number or serial number anywhere.

Any ideas on the model / vintage?
Anything look incorrect or out of place?

The valve plating looks a little worn and the neck looks kinda small to me also but I am not pretending to be an expert which why I am on this forum looking for help.

I might pay a visit, but it is a good disatance from home (Melbourne to Sydney) so some input or advice would be greatly appreciated from the TubeNet community before I outlay the time and expense to go and paly test it.

Thanks in advance.

I can't work out if all the slides are pulled so far out to demonstrate that they are free or if that's where need to be to play in tune might be worth asking the seller.

This Charleston looks like having a fairly fat bell throat area. And its bell flare isn't exactly shallow.

My gallery has 3 B&M BBb sousaphone entries. Not great photos, yet my impression is:

Their throat areas are slimmer. And their flares look shallower than that of the Charleston.

PS: The slide pulling appears being a web auction code for the slides not being stuck.
