Kalashen fixer-upper

some assembly required, but it looks like it's all or mostly there........... good thing there's a "make offer" option, cause I doubt it would sell for what they're asking.

This horn was relisted two or three times. The seller finally settled for an 'offer'. You can address further questions to me about this horn in a month or so.

It's interesting that 'Kalashens' is noted as being in New York. However... as far as I've been able to determine... they did not make tubas but bought stencil brands from Czechoslovakia and Austria. This particular one looks like a Bohland and Fuchs to me.

This Kalashen tuba arrived this afternoon. The rotors are tight but obviously the linkage is suffering. It looks to me some took the horn apart and just either lost interest of got in over their head. I'm 95% sure it was made by Bohland and Fuchs.

I have a bunch full of stuff right now so it may be months before I post anything conclusive.
