I used this trombone to play duets with my son when he was playing trumpet in high school, but no longer have any use for it. Most valve trombones are pea-shooters designed for trumpet players, but this one is a good second instrument for a tuba or euphonium player.

I have a vague memory of reading about a Conn 5G valve trombone, is this that?

It's most likely the 7G valve section designed for the 6H bell.

7G #3 Bore Valve section only for 6H 1956 - 1969 (from the Conn Loyalist web page)
