The valve routing was a modification of their [Buescher's] "Epoch" cornet valves; they thought that by putting the valve routings straight through on two planes that the valves would offer as little resistance as a slide trombone... at least that was the sales pitch. Didn't take them too long to go back to regular-style valve routings, though. They didn't play any better and weren't worth the extra time and material to make!
