Looks interesting, how much do you think it's worth?

Similar tuba was stolen and found, and the owner of that one states only 4 was made.

The whole "4 ever made" thing, to me, sounds like "4 tubas of that specific model" were ever made. Not that there were only 4 Kruspe tubas (of any kind) ever made. Hard to know for sure... point is, there aren't many of them, whether it's 4 or 40... it's not many.

As for the price... it seems like the seller just picked a number higher than what anyone is really going to pay, and will see what is the best Best Offer they receive. I guess that's like a "top-down" auction, instead of the usual "bottom-up" auction.
Personally, I'd be surprised if they get more than a few grand for it. Old and rare doesn't automatically mean valuable, and there might be a really good reason why they didn't make (or sell!) more of these.

The eBay seller said the stolen one was returned- we all hope he's right.

Lessons for me:
1) Don't buy Kruspe from California; it's either stolen or overpriced.
2) If you in California and looking to buy Kruspe tuba buy it outside of the state to increase Kruspe tubas per capita

Years ago I played an old Kruspe BBb tuba owned by Dave Mills. It was a 4/4 size, 4-rotor BBb similar to the one here, but had string linkage. The valve section was held together with J-B Weld. Very lightweight tuba with thinwall sheetbrass. It had a rich, dark 'puffy' quality to the sound. Intonation and response seemed good from what I remember -- more 'loosey-goosey'/forgiving than many tubas
The Tuba Exchange also had a 4/4 Kruspe BBb 4-rotor tuba for sale a few years ago.
So, even though they are quite rare, there were more around than some think.
The ebay BIN of $10,000 is way too much to ask for that Kruspe BBb. $2,000 or so seems more reasonable since the TE and Mills Kruspes' went for about that much.
I tend to group Kruspe and Bohland & Fuchs tubas together - many similarities.
