Looks like a mighty fine horn really, and I've owned a "Division of getzen" Meinl Weston before but it was a Bill Bell model and this one's dimensions don't seem to line up with any meinl Weston CC I'm familiar with, this horn is easily quite a bit older than me though so I wanted a few more opinions as to what it may be,but for that price I'll probably grab it soon regardless. Any info is greatly appreciated ! Sorry I'm such an idiot here's the link I forgot http://m.ebay.com/itm/331297184582?nav=SEARCH" target="_blank" target="_blank

Blindly... Most of the Getzen engraved MW CC's seem to be Bill Bell models. Nice horns that are not currently produced. Depending on age and condition, expect around $3k to$4k. I think they are sort of like a Miraphone 186 with a darker sound.

And if its not that then...

Wasn't the 'Bill Bell' model also the model 33... with a detachable bell? I had a five-rotor one of those about ten years ago and it sold very quickly.

My first tuba was a MW by Getzen Wm Bell model in CC with four rotors. Got it for $2600 and put $1200 into it for near-new restoration. The bell was not detachable. Great sound.

MW35 and MW37 are the Bell models. I think 35 is detachable bell Bell, but not certain.

Dan, that MW33 looks like a detachable bell MW32.

They are all good tubas!

Could be. I never knew quite what it was. All I know is once I offered it for sale it didn't stay here long!

If you're talking about this one...

...it looks like an MW-32, except it seems taller, based on my memory of it. Either way, looks like a nice tuba with no obvious problems, and is priced about right

Yes that one bort, that's what I thought at first two but aren't the 32s shorter and also have a much smaller bore? .790 seems like an odd size for this horn

Detachable bell yes. Horizontal tuning slide? Maybe no? Mine is a vertical tuning slide and a considerably different bugle.
The one I had before DID have a detachable bell and Frankly was an air sucker especially in the lower register, this one seems to have a bigger body though or at least a wider wrap, any chance it could be some custom ordered dimensions?

I used to own an MW-30 (the 4-valve version of the tuba on eBay). It was a very efficient and easy to play tuba.

If the one on eBay is in good shape, it should be a solid, do-it-all 4/4 CC tuba.

That's an older model M-W 32. Good tubas.

Not sure why, I messaged the seller about a month ago and he said it was sold but it seems to be back,I ended up buying the one Wichita was selling so if anyone is looking for a great 4/4 CC it might be a good time to get in on this,
