Why on a 3~4 year old tuba lacquer is fading? Another reason avoid Chinese product? I thought these were better ones.

I'm sure that's just tarnish since the horn Is silver.

Seems like seller knows all about tubas except finish. Seller stated: "lacquer is beginning to fade "

Looks like a big hole to me. Chinese quality at work.

It appears that this tuba has not been played much. It looks from here like the original valve bumpers are still on it. (Those whitish/clear ones wear out very fast, and it's hard to imagine anyone would replace them with more just like them.) And, more importantly, the paddles do not appear to have much wear on them.
