There are similarities but the bore of the Martin is in the low 700's while the Conns were .773. The bell is also more angled up on the Martins and although they didn't sport "short action" valves the stroke isn't much longer. Martins also had two bits as part of the leadpipe(sequential) . The Martin mammoths also predate the 20J's and were way more expensive. Just some useless information. Ed
