Wow, its really weird seeing a non silver plated hirsbrunner, I wonder how it compares to a modern one.

This is a Hirsbrunner Aarau which was a distant cousin of the present Hirsbrunner family in Sumiswald, Switzerland. The Hirsbrunners in Aarau stopped making instruments in the early 1960's.
I haven't played this horn, but I'm sure it plays like all small bore , 3 rotary valve Eb's.
Hirsbrunner , Sumiswald could make one, but I don't think anyone would want a new one.

I didn't know that there was an other instrument maker named Hirsbrunner. I just thought, that they moved from Aarau to Sumiswald.
So, that's what I learned today!
