For perspective, assuming it's the same basic model as in the Simonetti collection (and it does look a bit similar though the wrap details are different), the bore would be almost as big as an Alex 164 and bigger than the Miraphone Siegfried or Cerveny 693. If the rest of the horn is proportionate, this would appear to qualify as a Kaiser. And it looks like it's all there and not badly banged up.

This could be a lot of tuba for the money. Anyone near Austin going to check it out?

Big, old, and unique...? Sometimes there are very good reasons why there aren't many around.
