I agree. Seems like a drastic move for such a new tuba.

Buying a Tuono just to quit tuba? Thats fairly concerning if you ask me...

Is it just me or does the 3rd valve tubing look like it took a whack? I'd buy this horn, or at least make a good offer if I knew it's real history.

I know the guy... he is an interesting guy for sure... He bought that horn before he left here a few years back... I thought he'd planned on at least keeping his gig in Albany, but sounds like he's moving on all together now...

I've always thought that having a brightly polished and lacquered horn in the NYC area showed a sign of not being serious enough.

I don't think this is necessarily cheap. If $13800 is what these things go for new then his price is .652 of the new price. A couple of months back Joe sold a 188 for (too lazy to search but I think it went for) $7000. That horn was in almost original condition and the seller is well known by everybody on this board as an honest dealer who tells it like it is. His price was .736 of the new Horn Guys price. The reason he sold it for $7000?......he wanted to sell it. Not sit on it and bump the message board every day looking like a desperate fool.

The Tuono looks like it was blasted with napalm and there is at least one brace missing. What is the real story?

Cheap? No way is that price cheap. All kinds of risk with this one.
