It's a typo. That Marzan is a CC.

Looks descent.

Is that valve even an issue, or just need to be re-strung?

Ambitious price, but a neat horn.

It appears that all the linkage is there. Just needs to be re-strung.

Curiosity got me so I emailed the seller asking who his father was. I don't recognize the horn as ever having been in my hands. I'm sort of wondering where the serial number came from. I've never seen a serial number on a Marzan rotary. Only on piston horns. Doesn't mean it never happened but nonetheless... a curiosity.

Please send me an image and some info about you. I'd like to add your horn to my notes. My particulars are in my signature.

As far as who the seller's father is, that should be possible to deduce. The Mobile Symphony started the same year I moved there: 1998. Chester Schmitz has been with them for a few years now. How many tuba players can they have had before him?
