Yeah, I have the impression the lacquer on those things is often real messed up, with lots of reddish corrosion. It seems to stay clear, which is good, but looks like it's easily attacked by salt etc. The owner apparently handled this one pretty gently - I don't see a single dent - but was rewarded for his care with "looks pretty rough." I'd says it's a "find", though I'd check the valve stems.

Man, that's right up the road from me and just what I'm looking for to harvest the valve section, but alas, I have no money....

Agreed. Ones in good shape deserve to be played.
