What is this thing? Instrument or plumbing fixture?

Looks like it would take a tuba mouthpiece (maybe one of those super-large kaiser shanks?) if it is a "vintage musical instrument." But I'm thinking some kind of plumbing fixture? Or a boat horn? I find it hard to imagine much music being made with it.

Looks like a vintage model T car horn; just missing the rubber bulb.

Or the mouthpiece for a sub-sub-contrabass tuba...

Yup. But... it appears to be missing not only the rubber bulb (that can be purchased aftermarket new)... it also is missing the reed. Therefore... buying a new bulb for $10 won't get the job done.

It looks big enough that it would need a compressed air source to make it work.
