This CC tuba was converted by the same person who converted this York E-flat to an F for me:

I spent about a month with the CC tuba for sale. Here are my thoughts:
It's all about the sound. It's centered, warm and very colorful. I found the ergonomics perfectly comfortable. The response is quite good and only mildly stuffy below low E-flat. Once you back off and let the horn resonate it responds just fine in the extreme low register. Intonation is pretty good-manageable once you get to know the instrument. The intonation is easier to navigate than my Fyork which I'm navigating fine now, after my "exploration period." The "Kicker" slides move no problem and I had plenty of fun with the Michael Davis recorded warm ups and the Bordogni recorded piano parts.

For less than $2K it's a very fun tuba to play. Plus at that price it won't cost you much to have any modifications done to suit your taste, if you even feel the need to have it modified. Don't expect quite the ease of a PT20p or a CB50, but in my opinion the sound is better than either of those horns.
